Toshiba Satellite C660D laptop screen replacement – March 29, 2016
Hello blog visitors! Yesterday, we have replaced a screen on Toshiba Satellite C660D laptop. When our customer brought this Toshiba laptop, it turned on, but the screen was in black. We did connect the laptop to a external monitor, and we confirmed that this laptop works. Let’s find out how to change screen! π
Here is the Toshiba Satellite C660D laptop. It looks like this model is for Europe.
If you look at the screen, you will notice that there are total of 4 silver screws. (top right & left, bottom right & left) First, we need to remove those screws.
After removing the 4 screws, we tried to separate the plastic screen frame from the main screen.
If you have a webcam, remove the webcam connector first.
Remove the 2 screws in the bottom.
If you look at the side, there are 3 screws for both right & left sides. Remove them.
Remove the 3 screws from the left side too.
Now, you will be able to remove the screen from the laptop body. In the back of the screen, there is cable like the picture above. Remove the cable carefully. When you finish removing the screen, connect the cable to a new screen, and install the screen to the screen frame. π
Almost done ! π π π
It works now ! Screen is sharp and bright !
