Today we are going to reset HTC One M8 smartphone to factory default. If your phone is running too slow or stuck at loading? or screen doesn’t turn on? or no responding after update? you can consider to perform factory reset. Just one thing you should know about hard reset is that it erases all of your data and settings, so create a backup file if you have important pictures or videos. You might need to reset your phone to factory default, when your phone is in one of the following situation:
- Getting an issues after update
- Screen doesn’t turn on
- No responding or too slow or frozen issues
Hard Reset
01. Please make sure your phone is completely turned off.
02. Press and Hold Volume Down + power buttons at the same time until the recovery mode screen appears on screen. You can release all buttons when you get the recovery mode screen.
03. Use volume down key to navigate Factory Reset and confirm it using the power key.
04. Wait until the factory reset processing is done. Once it gets done, it will restart automatically.
