Acer Aspire 5333 Keyboard Replacement – March 24, 2017

 

Here is a quick guide for keyboard replacement of Acer Aspire 5333-2969 model. One of our customer brought it in, and we noticed few key buttons on the main keyboard were missing. The replacement keyboard is about $30~$50 CAN. You can also purchase the keyboard on Ebay, and do it yourself. Here is the specification of this Acer Aspire 5333-2969 model: Intel Celeron P4600 processor, 3GB DDR3 memory, 320GB HDD, 15.6″ HD LED LCD display, and it’s got Intel graphics. This laptop was the one of the easiest laptops to replace keyboard. Let’s get started!

Here is the Acer Aspire 5333-2969 laptop. It looks like it is in a good condition other than the keyboard damage.

As you see the above picture, letter J, letter M, and the upside arrow keys are missing. Since the owner lost the keys, we are just going to replace the whole keyboard of this Acer Aspire 5333-2969 laptop.

New Acer Aspire 5333 Series Keyboard Has Arrived!!

Here is the new keyboard for Acer Aspire 5333 series laptops. When you handle laptop keyboards, be-careful because it is really easy to get it bent. Let’s install this new keyboard!

Before we begin, Let’s remove the battery!!

First thing you do? It is removing the battery. No matter what you are working on, The most important thing is to cut the power. This Acer Aspire 5333 has removable battery.

Normally, to remove a keyboard from most of laptops, you first need to unscrew many screws from the bottom of the laptops, but this one, you do not need to unscrew any screws. You can just start to remove the keyboard. If you look at the keyboard. Above the function keys, there pins that are holding the keyboard in place. Use a flat head screw driver, to push the pins back. You will be able to lift up the upper section of the keyboard.

After lifting up the Acer Aspire 5333 keyboard, disconnect the keyboard cable from the motherboard.

It is now time to install the new keyboard!!
