How to turn on personal hotspot on Galaxy S8
Before you go ahead, please note that mobile hotspot uses your data. Make sure you do not exceed the monthly data usage. Otherwise, you will have to pay for the over data usage. Let’s go ahead!
Go to “Settings“, and then “Connections“.
Go to “Mobile hotspot and tethering“, and then turn on “Mobile hotspot“. Touch “Mobile hotspot” to configure your personal hotspot.
In here, you can let your friends know your device name and your password, then they can enter the information to connect to your Samsung Galaxy S8.
How to change the mobile hotspot name (SSID or WiFi name) and the password?
You can change your device name (WiFi or SSID name) and password for your mobile hotspot. Touch the device name to change the name and touch the password to change the password. The name and password can be anything you want. The password has to be 8 characters minimum.
