Did you know that there are “Free” office programs? If you did not know, then we will let you know them! Now days, the cheapest Microsoft Office program is called “Home & Student” and it comes with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications. Pretty sweet right? But it is not free… it costs about $120 CAD. For some of you, it will be the biggest problem.. You need to pay for it to use it. So, we are here to share you a nice tip! Let’s go.

 

1. LibreOffice

LibreOffice is an open source office application like the Microsoft Office. it’s got Word, Excel, and the PowerPoint just like the Microsoft Office. You can also save new documents as Microsoft Office compatible formats like doc, docx, xlsx, ppt, pptx, and etc… To download the program, you can go to: https://www.libreoffice.org/ Download the application, then you can install it on your PC.

 

2. OpenOffice

Second option is OpenOffice. For people who has older Windows operating system, this OpenOffice works on older Windows unlike the LibreOffice. It is pretty much same as LibreOffice. It’s got Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Also it is Free!! It just has a little different user interface compare to LibreOffice.
