Fix black screen, stuck at loading, keeps restarting, battery charging issues!
Is your Galaxy S8 in trouble? won’t turn on? stuck at Samsung Logo? not charging properly? keeps rebooting? freezing? Don’t worry! we are going to share how to fix those issues today! One of the main reasons that causes those problems could be system data corruption. If device’s system file has been corrupted by an error, those unexpected issues could be occurred. In this case, you need to remove old system caches and datas that causes the problem.
If your Galaxy S8 has a charging issue, either low battery or system error might be the cause. Sometimes battery charging issues on mobile devices are occurred due to extremely low battery power. Anyways, we are going to share methods to fix various problems that is occurred on Samsung Galaxy S8.
Following issues could be resolved by performing methods below:
- Screen won’t turn on
- not responding with black screen
- Stuck at samsung logo screen (booting problem)
- Keeps rebooting or restarting
- Keeps freezing
- Battery not charging
- screen not turning on but device is on
Forced to reboot
If your Galaxy S8 not charging properly, the first thing we are going to try to fix the issues is to force to reboot the device. Plus we are going to charge more than 30 minutes, just in case the device has low battery power. In some cases, extremely low battery power causes the battery charging issues. (Tips. You can also force to reboot when the device is in stuck or frozen or not responding with black screen.)
- Try to charge the device more than 30 minutes and turn the device on. Still screen won’t turn on?
- If the battery charging issue continues, Press and Hold the Power button for about 20 seconds, until the device turns off and on.
- Try to re-charge the device and see if you still have the same problem.
If still not charging? try to use a different charging cable. It might be a simple fix. Some third party charging cables won’t work properly. Try to use OEM cable.
Safe Mode
Check if you are able to boot into safe mode on the device. If so, it likely to be apps or system data corrupted problems. In order to boot into safe mode,
- Please completely turn off the device.
- Turn the device on and when the Samsung logo comes up on the screen, Press and Hold down the Volume Down button until it boots up into safe mode.
- How to know I’m in Safe Mode? If you look at the bottom left corner, you will see safe mode is located.
If you are successfully boot into safe mode, it might be an app that causes the problem. In this case, you need to find out the app that causes the issue and delete it.
Wipe Cache Partition
Those issues might be occurred due to old system caches crash. If the system caches and datas are corrupted by errors, the device could be frozen or stuck at loading process. In order to fix the issue, we are going to wipe all caches. Don’t worry, Wiping cache partition won’t affect to your data. Actually it’s one of the safest way to resolve the problem without loosing data.
01. Now we are going to boot into recovery mode to run a wipe cache partition. First thing we have to do is shutting down the device completely.
02. If the device is completely shut down, Press and Hold Volume Down + Home + Power buttons together at the same time, until the recovery mode appears on the screen.
03. When you have the recovery mode screen comes up, navigate to Wipe Cache Partition option from the menu using the volume down key and select it using the power key.
04. When the wipe cache partition process is finished, select reboot system now to restart the system.
Factory Reset
In most cases, factory reset is one of the best way to solve the problem. One of the disadvantage of factory reset is that it erases all data and settings. We always recommend to create a backup data before run a hard reset. If you have important data, you should backup the device. Plus, try to fully charge the device. In some cases, the device might be damaged due to an unexpected shut down by low battery power.
01. Make sure power off the device completely.
02. Press and Hold the Volume Down + Home + Power buttons at the same time, until you have the recovery mode screen appeared.
03. When the recovery mode appears on the screen, use volume down key to navigate to Wipe Data/Factory Reset and select it by the power key.
04. When it’s asking you to confirm, select Yes.
05. Wait until the hard resetting process is done. When it’s done, select reboot system now to reboot the device.
