How to hard reset & soft reset on Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo (Factory settings)

Here is an instruction of how to hard reset and soft reset on your Galaxy S5 Neo. If the reason is that because your device is in trouble like it’s running too slow?, keep freezing?, stuck at loading screen?, not responding?, getting an error message too often? Try to perform soft reset first before hard resetting. It might resolve the problem without removing any files. Hard reset means that it resets the device to its factory default settings, which means all data and personal settings will be deleted. If you have important data on your phone, we recommend you to create a backup so you can restore after hard resetting.

Sometimes there is a case that the device is shut down unexpecdely while hard reset processing due to a lack of battery. In this case, it can cause more serious problem into the system. Never run a hard reset with low battery power. Try to fully charge your device before factory reset.

 

Soft Reset

Method 01. Press and hold down the power button for about 10 to 15 seconds. (Your phone will reboot while holding down the power button.) > Release the power button when you see the Samsung Logo.

Method 02. Remove and replace the battery

 

Hard Reset

Step 01. Power off your device completely.

Step 02. Press and Hold Home + Volume Up + Power keys at the same time.

Step 03. When the Samsung Logo comes up the screen, Release only the Power key.

Step 04. Soon Android System Recovery Mode will appears. In the recovery mode, Navigate to wipe data/factory reset with the volume down key and select it with the power key.

Step 05. Select Yes – delete all user data and then select reboot system now.
