Mac OS X SIERRA – Slow WIFI(Internet) Speed

Is your WIFI connection speed too slow? after upgrade to MAC OS X SIERRA? There is a solution for this. It happens because of the crash between old and new data. To solve the issues, we are going to delete some files that has the old settings regarding your WIFI, and then reboot router. If you are in trouble with slow internet speed on Mac OS X Sierra, please follow the instruction step by step! Hope you solve the issues through the method below.

 

Reset WIFI Configuration

Step 01. Go to FINDER

Step 02. Go to Top Menu. Navigate to GO > Go to folder

Step 03. Type /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ in the blank field.

Step 04.You should get some files in folder. Now Find and Delete the following listed files below:

  • com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
  • com.apple.network.identification.plist
  • com.apple.wifi.message-tracer.plist
  • NetworkInterfaces.plist
  • preferences.plist

 

ROBOOT ROUTER

Step 01. If you successfully finished clearing the files, now we need to reboot a router.

Step 02. Just keep in mind that we are not resetting a router. Just rebooting. Do Not Reset your router. All settings and information on your router will be terminated. Just unplug the power adapter for your router and leave it for 1 minute and plug the power back.

Now If your router has successfully reboot, then restart your Macbook as well.
