Are you having issues with Mackeeper uninstallation? Don’t worry anymore! We are here to help you to uninstall Mackeeper software on your Macbook Pro Retina. It’s not that difficult to remove Mackeeper. Just follow the instruction below! Let’s get started!
Note. There are two different versions of Mackeeper (2012 & 2014). We will show two different ways to uninstall.
Uninstalling Mackeeper 2012
Step 01. Go to Application folder > Delete Mackeeper software. (You can simply drag it to the Trash or delete by clicking Move to Trash) > Empty Trash.
Step 02. Locate and Delete those listed files followings
- User/Library/LaunchAgents/com.zeobit.MacKeeper.plugin.Backup.agent
- User/Library/Caches/com.zeobit.MacKeeper
- User/Library/LaunchAgents/com.zeobit.MacKeeper.Helper
- User/Library/Preference/com.zeobit.MacKeeper.Helper.plist
- User/Library/Preferences/com.zeobit.MacKeeper.plist
- /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.zeobit.MacKeeper.AntiVirus
- /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.zeobit.MacKeeper.plugin.AntiTheft.daemon
- /Library/Application Support/MacKeeper
Step 03. Restart your Macbook Pro Retina and Done!
Uninstalling Mackeeper 2014
Step 01. Go to Application folder > Delete Mackeeper software. ((You can simply drag it to the Trash or delete by clicking Move to Trash)
Step 02. Once you drag it or move to trash, It will ask you to uninstall Mackeeper. Click Uninstall Button and Empty Trash.
This is the same info on a number of sites, and yet it won’t allow me to move the app to trash. I get the following error message:
The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -60008).
What do I do now? The pop ups associated with this are driving me nuts.
