We are sharing how to hard reset & soft reset & wipe cache partition on Motorola Droid Maxx. Hard reset removes all data so please try to back up your important file before performing hard reset. Before starting factory reset, we recommend to soft reset to wipe cache partition because those methods might resolve the problem without deleting any data. If your phone is not turning on? or frozen? or not responding? Try to perform Soft Reset. If your phone is stuck at loading or keeps freezing or getting a trouble too often? Try to wipe cache partition. If soft reset and wipe cache partition didn’t work for you? Try to perform factory reset. It will reset your Motorola Droid Maxx to its factory default.
SOFT RESET
Step 01. Press and Hold Down Power button for about 5 – 10 seconds until the phone shuts down and reboots.
WIPE CACHE PARTITION
Step 01. Power off completely.
Step 02. Press and hold Volume Down + Power buttons until the boot option menu appears on the screen.
Step 03. Navigate to Recovery option using volume down button and select it with the power key.
Step 04. When the Android robot comes up on the screen, Press and Hold Volume Up button and press the Power button while holding down volume up button.
Step 05. Soon Android System Recovery Mode will appears on the screen. Select wipe cache partition.
Step 06. After the process is done, select reboot system now.
HARD RESET
Step 01. Make sure your phone is turned off completely.
Step 02. Press and hold Volume Down + Power buttons until the boot option menu appears on the screen.
Step 03. Navigate to Recovery option using volume down button and select it with the power key.
Step 04. When the Android robot comes up on the screen, Press and Hold Volume Up + Power buttons until the Android system recovery mode appears.
Step 05. In the Android system recovery mode, select wipe data/factory reset.
Step 06. It will ask you to confirm. Select Yes — delete all user data
Step 07. After the process is done, select reboot system now.
