Muskoka Steamship – R.M.S. Segwun Steamship
R.M.S. Segwun Steamship(Royal Mail Ship) is the oldest operating steam driven vessel in North America, built in 1887 to cruise the Muskoka Lakes in the District of Muskoka, Ontario, Canada, a resort area with many lakes and rivers. Early in the 20th century, Muskoka was poorly served by roads. Vacationers were transported to lodges, or private cottages, via a fleet of steamships, including the Segwun. She is one of only four ships in the world still carrying the status of Royal Mail Ship.

I had experiences with all Segwun cruise packages and the best one was the 2 hours cruise package. The 1 hour package was too short and 2.5 hour package was too long. 2 hours cruise package was the best choice for me. not too short not too boring. The Best Seasons to cruise are the Summer and the Fall. The view of lake is so beautiful and gorgeous in the summer time. Especially, the sun setting over the Muskoka Lake in the distant is very impressive. In the Fall, a lot of people are visiting this place to see maple trees on the ship. You probably know how beautiful the maple trees are in the fall season of Canada. However, the view of natural landscape around the Muskoka Lake presents a big impression.
