Nowadays, We don’t need a CD to format or reinstall Windows operating system, because most of latest laptops have Windows Installer installed already on their hard drive. Here are two ways to restore your system. Let’s get is started!
Method 01. Restore using Acer eRecovery Management
Step 01. Before restoring to factory settings, you have to backup first. Please backup your all data to an external hard drive.
Step 02. Turn off your laptop completely.
Step 03. Turn on your computer and Press F10 Key repeatedly when the Acer logo appears on the screen .
Step 04. On the Acer eRecovery Management, Click on the Restore System to Factory Default.
Step 05. Now it will bring your laptop to factory default and takes about 1 hour.
Method 02. Restore using System Recovery Options
Step 01. As same as the first method, Please try to backup first. Copy and paste all your important data to an external hard drive.
Step 02. Turn off your computer completely.
Step 03. Turn on your computer and Press F8 repeatedly until the Advanced Boot Options appears.
Step 04. Now, select Repair your computer
Step 05. If the System Recovery Options appears on the screen, click on the System Restore.
Step 06. It will ask you to choose languages, country, dates, and so on. Answer the all questions and it will restore your laptop to factory default.
Thanks for the direction. Unfortunately repeatedly hitting f8 or f10 did not move the Acer laptop into recovery or reset mode. Any other ideas? Thanks.
Hello, try the other F keys too. Like F2, F1 … or for some Acer models, you need to press the F keys while holding “Fn” key. Try this.
