1. Prompt Mode (Terminal)

Step 01 Please shut down your Macbook.

Step 02. We are going to boot into recovery mode to use terminal. Turn on and press and hold down COMMAND + R keys immediately until the recovery mode comes up on the screen.

Step 03. If you have the recovery mode screen, Go to Utilities > Terminal.

Step 04. Type the following command in the terminal: system_profiler SPExtensionsDataType > ~/Desktop/kextList.txt

Step 05. Open kextList.txt file and Press the COMMAND + F keys at the same time to get the search field.

Step 06. In the blank field, type Obtained from: Not Signed and copy the destination to the .kext file to a list for use later

Step 07. Select Next to cycle through all of them, for example: /System/Library/Extensions/filename.kext

Step 08. Now navigate to /System/Library/Extensions. Find and Remove all unsigned kext files.

Step 09. Restart your Macbook and check if it works.

 

2. PRAM(NVRAM) Reset

Step 01. Please make sure that your Macbook is completely turned off.

Step 02. Press and Hold Down Option + Command + P + R Keys together and turn your Macbook on.

Step 03. Keep Holding Down until you hear the second startup sound. You can release keys after hearing the second startup sound.

Step 01. Please turn off your Mac.

Step 02. Press and Hold Down Option + Command + P + R Keys together and turn your Macbook on.

Step 03. Keep holding down the keys for 20 seconds.

 

3. FSCK Check

Step 01. You need to boot into Recovery Mode. Please shut down or restart your macbook and once you turn in on, press and hold COMMAND + R keys together and wait until you get the recovery mode screen.

Step 02. Please Select Disk Utility option.

Step 03. Click on First Aid. It will try to fix your hard drive issues.
