Some are look very sharp & vivid, and some are look stubby. Why all the screens don’t displays the same quaility ? Because all the displays have different resolution. What is resolution ? Let’s find out!
– SCREEN (DISPLAY) RESOLUTION –
Let’s put it very simple. The display resolution is the number of distinct pixels in each dimension that can be displayed. Normally, it quotes as width × height. With the units in pixels. Here is an example. “1920 × 1080” means the width is 1920 pixels and the height is 1080 pixels. More pixels will result smoother, richer, and sharper display. Less pixels will result the opposite. (lack of sharpness) a screen with more pixels is always better, but also expensive. When you compare two same size screens, you should go with the screen with the higher resolution. The resolution also affects visible area on your screen. If your screen has a high resolution, the screen will display more contents (for example, you will see more conetents when you are surfing the web, more comments will display etc…) that a screen with a lower resolution. Generally we call any screen (display) resolution with more than 720 horizontal lines a high definition display. (HD display)
